Materials Needed:

  1. 5 inch X 5 inch piece of 100% cotton fabric ironed flat.

  2. Light pink solid or print for women victims. Light blue solid or print for men victims.

  3. DMC blue embroidery floss # 824

Print the heart pattern and instructions off the message. Cut out and center the heart onto the right side of the cotton fabric. Use pencil and trace around it, do not let it touch the sides as there has to be room left for the seam allowance. Make sure you have the correct dimensions to keep the hearts uniform. Do not cut the heart out of the fabric. Leave it square please. Print or use cursive writing to put your loved ones name on the heart. This heart can be as plain or ornate as you would like it to be. Put date of death, country, age, state, etc. Anything that represents this person, flowers, trees, birds, food, sports, etc. The name needs to be embroidered in DMC #824 though the rest of it can be embroidered in any colors. All this needs to be kept inside the hearts borders.
